Are you Rich? – Gospel.PUB

Are you Rich?

“The unsearchable riches of Christ.” Ephesians 3:8

The power of the gospel of Jesus holds no limits. The Apostle Paul said, “I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.” (Eph 3:8) The word “unsearchable” is to be understood as untraceable or unsearchable.

The ways of God are far beyond the limits of the finite understanding of humanity. God makes this understanding clear when He spoke to the Prophet:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isa 55:8-9)

The “riches of Christ” is not to be framed in monetary terms although He is able to, “supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Php 4:19)

The “riches of Christ” that are beyond understanding are wrapped up in His love for you. Long before your thoughts were directed towards God, His love was directed towards you. The scripture states:

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” (Rom 3:10-12)

You were “unprofitable” to God, you did not “doeth good” and you did not seek after the “riches of Christ.” The measure of your value to God was not based upon your awareness of Him, your righteousness acts or your contrition or penance for your sin.

God loved you because of who He is; not who you are. This fact is made clear with these words from God:

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” (Eph 2:1)

You were dead to God because of “trespasses and sins,” and God gave you life to know Him and the power of the gospel of Jesus.

The “riches of Christ,” is the power of God’s love to bring a lost soul from the darkness and of sin and death into the glorious light of God. The Apostle Paul said it was this message of God’s love for and desire to redeem His creation from the power of Satan, sin and self was the “riches” he was to proclaim to lost masses of the unlearned.

Do you desire the true “riches of Christ” or are you numbered alone with the masses of people who want the privileges of being a child of God without knowing the actual “riches of Christ.” Speaking to these people Jesus said:

“Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.” (John 6:26)

To these people who seek Jesus for the wrong “riches” He said:

“Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.” (John 6:27)

How about you are you numbered among  the ones who “labor” for the “meat that perisheth?” If so seek the “riches of Christ” that is the reward for the ones who seek the power of the gospel that relieves the power of sin and death and will deliver you into the Fathers’ Kingdom.
